The next chapter meeting will take us to Madagascar, an island about twice the size of Arizona off the east coast of Africa. Madagascar has some of the highest biodiversity on the planet: of roughly 200,000 known species on the island, about 150,000 are endemic.
Paul, the former chapter president, is a retired physician originally from South Africa. He has been an active birder for about 15 years. He and his wife, Beth, love to travel and bird.
