Nate Kohler will lead a field trip to the Seeley Lake area for a day of viewing Dragonflies and Damselflies. It is possible to see up to 30 species of these fascinating insects.
These fascinating insects prefer wet places, so muck boots are highly encouraged: also bring binoculars, field guides, collecting nets (if you have them), insect repellent, sunscreen, and a lunch.
Meet in the northwest corner of the Adams Center parking lot for carpooling departing at 6:30am or at the Clearwater Junction Rest Stop at 8:00am.
Recommended field guides include:
- Dragonflies & Damselflies of the Rocky Mountains by Robert Dubois, and
- Dragonflies & Damselflies of the West by Dennis Paulson.
