Did you see a bird and want to know what it was?

If you have a mobile device that runs the iOS (Apple) or Android operating systems the Cornell Lab of Ornithology offers a free application called Merlin that can identify birds using three different methods: answering a few simple questions, recording audio and analyzing it, or by photograph. Merlin is an incredibly useful tool for beginning birders and pros alike! You can find out more about Merlin here.
